Journey Benefit Concert

Rock Band Journey to Perform Benefit at Oakland’s Paramount for National Center for Youth Law. The benefit concert by legendary rock band Journey has been rescheduled! “An Evening with Journey” will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 at Oakland’s historic Paramount Theater. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $55 and $35 and will go on sale Jan. 23. They can be purchased at the Paramount box office and through Ticketmaster. A limited number of Gold Circle tickets for premium concert seating, priced at $150, will be available through NCYL. The Journey concert was originally scheduled for last Sept. 19 as a limited attendance outdoor show at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, CA. That show was rained out.

Concert details are still being worked out, but people who purchased tickets for the original show will be treated to premium seating and a reception at the theatre prior to the performance. The Paramount is a magnificent refurbished Art Deco theater and registered National Historical landmark. Originally opened as a movie palace in 1931, it now serves all the arts, and is home to the Oakland East Bay Symphony and Oakland Ballet.
