Neal Schon - Guitar
Neal Schon is a name synonymous with Rock & Roll. For the last three decades, his guitar playing has generated millions of album sales for two other names also synonymous with Rock & Roll, Journey and Santana. It was only a matter of time until Neal’s extraordinary guitar and song-styling virtuosity was unleashed on its own in order to expand itself as its own entity, spaced from the specific confines of a band. Voice is Neal’s third such offering.
The melodies in Voice are Neal’s, yet not his at all. Voice is a tribute to his peers and the melodies that they have performed, written and affected his life. The ten songs presented on this album have been performed by a diverse set of artists. From Andrea Bocelli to Annie Lennox, from Bryan Adams to Bonnie Raitt, from Leon Russell to Mariah Carey, and have been interpreted by Neal and his guitar to create an exquisitely balanced, emotionally charged instrumental collection.
